What do you do at Broadway?

I work with the people in the church and the community. Helping them find and fulfill the purpose God has for their life. This happens by
 preaching on Sundays, providing leadership training to groups\individuals and getting together  one on one with people to give them a word of encouragement. 

What do you do in your spare time?

In the summers I love to go yard sales with my wife Kris and laugh about how much people are asking for the junk they are trying to sell. Then there’s the occasional treasure we find that’s a really good deal! I also enjoy fishing, hunting and training my dog.

What’s your idea of a vacation?

Going somewhere in the bush where there’s a cabin (electricity and running water optional) and a lake where I can go fishing, 4 wheeling and dog training.

What make’s you laugh?

Kids (because kids say the craziest things), bloopers from movies, being together with my family and talking about the stupid, silly, funny things we do in life!

What bugs you?

Red tape, bureaucracy, details and people who drive slow in front of me when I am in a hurry (which is rare ?)!

What’s your mission in life?

Becoming what God wants me to be and doing whatever God wants me to do the best way I can. Giving into people’s life, helping them grow to their fullest potential.

What do you do at Broadway?

I oversee the 50 plus ministry and visitation at Broadway and work with the building committee establishing long-term future goals for Broadway church.

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy reading, woodwork, yard work, and hunting with my dog Sassy.

What’s your idea of a vacation?
I like driving through the mountains and staying in Gatlinburg, or relaxing with a good book.

What makes you laugh?
I laugh a lot, with my grandchildren, with our family, with our friends, and Kris my daughter-in-law.

What bugs you?
I do not like to be late for anything.

What’s your mission in life?
My desire in life is to be a faithful husband to Ruby, and a good father to my children and grandchildren. My mission for God is to help grow his church in changing times.

Ruby Carroll

What do you do at Broadway?

I support my husband with the 50 plus ministry.

What do you do in your spare time?
My flower garden and birds are a source of relaxation for me. I take great pleasure in our family and love to spend time with the grandchildren. In the winter I do puzzles, watch T.V. or read by the fire

What’s your idea of a vacation?
I enjoy driving through the countryside, visiting different vacation spots, checking out restaurants and shopping malls. Gatlinburg is a favorite spot.

What makes you laugh?
I laugh at our grandchildren, a funny email from friends, and people can be hilarious at times.

What bugs you?

Not much bothers me. I like my house clean and orderly inside and out.

What’s your mission in life?
My mission in life is to Love God, our family and see others accept Jesus.

What do you do at Broadway?

I oversee the Kids Ministry Department at the church. We run two Sunday morning programs

and a Wednesday night program weekly. We also organize different activities, like BBQ’s, our float in the Santa Clause Parade, Summer Camp (VBS), movie nights, field trips and more.

I also organize the Kids’ Christmas Production, as well as the Church Easter Production.

What do you do in your spare time?

Hang out with my family and friends, search the Previously Viewed sales section at Blockbuster for some good movies, watch TV series (we don’t have cable).

What makes you laugh?

Lots of things. Watching my dad and husband playing cards against each other is pretty funny. I love sitting around with friends sharing funny stories. When something blows out of a person’s hand and they run across the parking lot chasing it… I’m sorry to say, but that is really funny, only because I can relate. Oh… and you have to be able to laugh at yourself.

What bugs you?

What’s your favourite movie?

Hands down… NEWSIES! If you don’t know, then google it ?

What’s your mission in life?

To have high vision, low pride, wide faith, deep love, long patience... To be more committed to conviction than convenience... to be fearless in the face of danger, calm in the midst of pressure, bold in the midst of opposition... to pray earnestly, work long, preach clearly, and wait patiently... to walk by faith, behave with principal, make the sacrifice and stand firm on God's never changing Word.

What do you do at Broadway?

I am excited to say that I am the new intern youth leader at Broadway. I will be overseeing the junior high and sr. high ministries in the time of transition.

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I love to sleep! It is important. I watch a lot of hockey (Go Leafs Go) and hanging out with my family and friends.

I love to play board games!

What’s your idea of a vacation?

Anywhere hot and on the water! (Not salt water though. That makes me sick)

What make’s you laugh?

I laugh at almost anything! I have a new found respect for the game Taboo and playing that game makes me laugh! The best laughter is late at night, when you are tired and you laugh at nothing at all but everything is funny!

What bugs you?

When people settle for less then what God intended for them!

And the writer’s strike. It is over now but that bugged me. No new TV shows for months! That’s just painful. :)

What is your favorite movie(s)?

NEWSIES!! (…It is a family thing) :)

What’s your mission in life?
My mission in life is to always strive for more and never become complacent with where I am at with God. To live a life of passion for the lost and needy! And to see revival come to this generation!!

What do you do at Broadway?

I support all the Pastors by taking care of all administrative aspects of the church. I also provide information for our congregation and visitors to Broadway Tabernacle.

What do you do in your spare time?

In the summer I love to hang around by the pool with whoever is at my house at the time, and just take in the sun…In the Winter I usually don’t have any spare time! That’s when Life in the Church office gets very crazy.

What’s your idea of a vacation?

My idea of a vacation is going somewhere I can get away from everything-Somewhere hot where I can drink Non-Alcoholic Pina Coladas all day and sit in the sun! That’s the Life!

What makes you laugh?

Spending time with my two teenage daughters when they are just being goofy and silly,and being with good friends that you can have fun with anytime or anywhere by just being yourself.

What bugs you?

When people jump to the wrong conclusion about something they hardly know anything about, without first asking. There are always two sides to every story and situation, but there are people who choose to only see one side and end up being hurt/hurting others because of wrong or bad information.

What’s your mission in life?

My mission is life is to be a good Mom to my Beautiful Girls - to always be there for them, to be a good wife for my husband, & to become the woman God wants & needs me to be and do it all to the best of my ability.
